Chicken Caesar Wraps
Chicken Caesar Wraps
A quick and delicious wrap filled with tender chicken, crisp lettuce, and creamy Caesar dressing. Perfect for a fast, satisfying meal that’s easy on the wallet!
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded)
- 4 large flour tortillas (or any wrap of choice)
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Croutons or extra Parmesan for topping
Instructions:
1. Cook the chicken:
- Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips or shredding it.
2. Prepare the wraps:
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing until evenly coated.
- Add the sliced chicken to the bowl and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese.
3. Assemble the wraps:
- Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the chicken and lettuce mixture onto each tortilla.
- Optional: Sprinkle with croutons or extra Parmesan cheese for added crunch and flavor.
- Roll the tortillas tightly, folding in the sides as you go to form a secure wrap.
4. Serve:
- Slice each wrap in half, serve immediately, and enjoy!
Tips:
- Make it healthier: Use a light Caesar dressing or Greek yogurt-based dressing to reduce calories.
- Add veggies: Feel free to add sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, or avocado for more flavor and texture.
- Grill the chicken: For extra flavor, grill the chicken breasts instead of pan-searing them.
- Use leftover chicken: Rotisserie chicken is a great option for a quicker and even cheaper version of this wrap.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve these wraps with a side of baked fries, a simple side salad, or some fresh fruit for a complete meal.
- They’re also great for meal prep—just assemble and wrap them tightly, then store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
